♬ 在日本临床营养学会第27届和第26届年会上，我们展示了“NKCP”的研究成果。
日本临床营养学会第27届年会及第26届日本临床营养学会年会于11月11~13日在神奈川县横滨太平洋市举行，公司在会上发表了题为《纯化纳尔托菌培养（NKCP）关于血液性质的生理活性》关于旗舰产品“NKCP”的研究报告。
随着营养在医疗护理中重要性的不断提升，会议吸引了意外数量的参与者，包括医生、营养师、大学官员、研究人员和学生。
大和药品的此次报告是与坞京医科大学联合研究的成果，特别是NKCP除其溶栓（纤维蛋白溶解）效果外，还发现了抗凝作用，以及引入的振动粘度计（预测临床剂量下血液粘度降低）的应用，引起了参与者的高度关注。

◎ ISO 9001-2000认证的续期审核已完成。
获得ISO 9001-2000认证三年后，于11月28日（筑波工厂）~29日（总部）进行了外部续期审核。多亏了我们员工的积极参与，颁发了一份“审计报告”，建议认证续期。
认证将在稍后发出。
评委们评论说，与三年前相比，我们员工的积极参与更加明显，质量管理体系得到了妥善维护和改进。
今后，外部维护审计将继续每年进行一次（大约在11月左右）。
我们将此次认证续期视为契机，回归本源，努力专注于整个系统的验证。

最近，我经常听到“第二意见”这个词。
字面意思是“第二意见”，但尤其是在癌症等严重疾病中，这一运动正在全国范围内传播，通过寻求除主治医生外的医生的第二意见来进行诊断和治疗。
在美国，这种观念在公众中根深蒂固，常识是常识，询问医生在咨询时是否会寻求第二意见。然而，在日本，诸如对医生的犹豫，或“如果我说了那样的话，会不会伤害医生的感情、让场面尴尬？”这样的担忧，往往是最先被提及的。
然而，考虑到最终由患者及其家属决定治疗方案，寻求除主治医生以外的第二意见可以拓宽治疗选择，从中选择更好的治疗方案，这对患者来说是自然权利。

第22次戒毒
“排毒”（detox）一直是健康杂志和项目中热议的话题。
一般来说，它指的是“去除体内的毒素和有害物质（如汞和铅），以促进美观和健康。”
有些人可能尝试过多种方法，比如膳食纤维补充剂、使用基岩浴或远红外射线，甚至禁食。
在医学中，排毒包括“螯合疗法”，用于药物和毒素中毒;在整合医学中，有时用于心血管疾病治疗及其他目的。
“螯合”一词的起源是chela（Keira = 虾，蟹的钳子）。
顾名思义，它涉及“插入和释放有害物质”。

◎第27回日本臨床栄養学会総会・第26回日本臨床栄養協会総会で、「NKCP」の研究内容を発表しました。
「第27回日本臨床栄養学会総会・第26回日本臨床栄養協会総会」が、１１月１１～１３日、パシフィコ横浜（神奈川県）で開催され、当社は、主力製品である「ＮＫＣＰ」について「精製ナットウ菌培養物（ＮＫＣＰ）の血液性状に対する生理活性について」と題した研究発表を行いました。
医療に対する栄養学の重要性がますます高まっていることもあり、大会には医師や栄養士をはじめ大学関係者、研究者、学生など予想を超える数が集まりました。
今回の大和薬品の発表は、獨協医科大学との共同研究によるもので、とくに今回は「ＮＫＣＰ」における血栓溶解（線溶亢進）の作用に加え抗凝固作用の存在が明らかになったこと、さらに振動式粘度計の導入により、臨床用量での血液粘度低下作用も予見されたことが参加者の関心を集めました。

11月30日発売の週刊朝日増刊号「予防医学の権威がすすめる健康食2005」に遠藤雄三先生（浜松医科大学）の取材記事が掲載されました(p.76)。
週刊朝日では毎年「健康食」特集号が発行されており、今回のテーマは「アンチエイジング最新情報」で7冊目となります。
遠藤先生の取材記事は「サプリメント編」に掲載されており、米ぬかアラビノキシラン誘導体に関する研究内容についてわかりやすく紹介されています。

◎ISO 9001-2000認証の更新審査が行われました。
ISO 9001-2000の認証取得から3年を経ての外部機関による更新審査が11月28日（つくば工場）～29日（本社）に実施されました。当社スタッフの積極的な関わりもあり、認証更新推薦の「審査報告書」が授与されました。
後日認証が発行されることになります。
審査員からは、３年前と比較して当社スタッフの積極的な関わりが目立ったこと、また品質マネージメントシステムがきちんと維持・改善されているとのコメントがありました。
今後の外部維持審査は年１回（１１月頃）の頻度で継続して行われます。
当社は今回の認証更新を機会に再度原点に立ち返り、システム全体の検証にも注力するよう努めてまいります。
■健康お役立ち情報
【1】セカンドオピニオン
最近、よくセカンドオピニオンという言葉に接します。
これは、直訳すれば「第二の意見」という意味になりますが、とくにガンのような重大な病気の場合に、担当の主治医以外の別の医師に診断や治療などについての意見（セカンドオピニオン）を聞くことによってよりよい治療が受けられるようにすることで、こうした動きは全国に広まっています。
アメリカでは、この考えは国民に定着しており、医師が診察のときにセカンドオピニオンをとるかどうかを聞くのは常識になっているといいますが、まだ日本では、医師に対する遠慮や「そんなことを言ったら医師の感情を害して気まずくなるのではないか。失礼にあたらないか」といった心配が先にたって、なかなか言い出せない、といった場合が多いのではないでしょうか。
しかし、病気の治療法を判断するのは最終的には患者自身や家族であることから考えれば、主治医以外のセカンドオピニオンを求めることは、治療の選択肢を広げその中からよりよい治療法を選ぶことになり、これは患者にとっては当然の権利といえます。
とくに、ガンや血管にかかわるような重大な病気では、治療法は目まぐるしく進歩していますので、広く専門医の意見を聞くことは重要です。
近頃では、大学病院など大きな病院を中心に「セカンドオピニオン外来」を新設する医療機関も増えていますが、対象となる診療科や料金などは病院によってまちまちです。ただ共通しているのは、どの病院でも事前の予約と主治医の紹介状（診療情報提供書）が必要であるということ。
料金は、３０分数千円のところから数万円のところまで、病院によって違います。
セカンドオピニオンについては、医療機関だけでなく推進する団体も多くなっていますし、インターネット上で提供される情報もたくさんあります。
医療は患者中心であるべきという医療の原点から考えて、セカンドオピニオンはもっと定着していってほしいものです。
【2】・・・海外統合医療ニュース
第22回 デトックス
健康雑誌・番組で話題の「デトックス」（解毒）。
一般的には「体内の毒素や有害物質（水銀、鉛など）を排出して美容と健康に役立てること」の意味で用いられているようです。
方法は食物繊維などのサプリメント、岩盤浴や遠赤外線の利用、さらには断食などで、いくつか体験した方もいるかもしれません。
医療におけるデトックスには、薬物・毒物中毒の際に行う「キレーション療法」があり、統合医療の現場ではこれを心血管疾患治療などに使うことがあります。
「キレーション」の由来はchela（キーラ＝エビ、カニ類のはさみ）。
その名の通り、有害物質を「はさみ込んで排出する」というわけです。
もっとも、心血管疾患への有効性については議論のあるところで、先月報告されたカナダとイギリスの共同研究によると、「EDTA」という解毒剤を用いたキレーション療法は、「現在入手できるデータからは、心血管疾患に対する治療効果は支持できない」となりました。
これまでに行われた7件の試験を再解析した結果です。
キレーション療法をめぐっては、米国立衛生研究所（NIH）でも5年をかけて臨床試験を進めており、今後の研究の進展が待たれる状況です。

遠藤雄三先生から風邪・インフルエンザの予防法についてアドバイスをいただきました。日頃からマフラーで首をあたためる他、マスクで口内をあたたかく保つことも有効とのことです。ウイルスは35℃あたりを最も好みます。
殺菌効果のある緑茶などをプラスするのも良いですね。
そして普段からサプリメントを上手に活用して自然治癒力UPを図りたいものです。

◎ At the 27th and 26th Annual Meetings of the Japanese Society of Clinical Nutrition, we presented the research findings of "NKCP."
The 27th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Society of Clinical Nutrition and the 26th Annual Meeting of the Japanese Clinical Nutrition Association were held on November 11~13 at Pacifico Yokohama (Kanagawa Prefecture), where our company presented a research presentation titled "Physiological Activity of Purified Nartomyces Culture (NKCP) on Blood Properties" on our flagship product, "NKCP."
As the importance of nutrition in medical care continues to grow, the conference attracted an unexpectedly large number of participants, including doctors, nutritionists, university officials, researchers, and students.
This presentation by Daiwa Pharmaceutical was the result of joint research with Dokkyo Medical University, and in particular, the discovery of anticoagulant effects in NKCP in addition to its thrombolytic (fibrinolytic enhancement) effect, as well as the introduction of a vibrating viscometer, which predicted a reduction in blood viscosity at clinical doses, attracted significant interest from participants.

An interview article by Dr. Yuzo Endo (Hamamatsu Medical University) was published in the November 30th special issue of Weekly Asahi, "Healthy Foods Recommended by Authorities in Preventive Medicine 2005" (p.76).
Weekly Asahi publishes a special issue on 'Healthy Food' every year, and this time, the theme is 'Latest Anti-Aging Information'—the seventh edition.
Dr. Endo's interview article is published in the 'Supplement Edition,' which clearly introduces research on rice bran arabinoxylane derivatives.

◎ The renewal audit for ISO 9001-2000 certification was conducted.
Three years after obtaining ISO 9001-2000 certification, an external renewal audit was conducted on November 28 (Tsukuba Factory) ~ 29 (Head Office). Thanks to the active involvement of our staff, a "Audit Report" recommending certification renewal was awarded.
Authentication will be issued later.
Judges commented that compared to three years ago, our staff's proactive involvement has become more noticeable, and that the quality management system is being properly maintained and improved.
Going forward, external maintenance audits will continue to be conducted once a year (around November).
Taking this certification renewal as an opportunity, we will return to our roots and strive to focus on verifying the entire system.

Lately, I often come across the term 'second opinion.'
Literally, this means "second opinion," but especially in serious illnesses like cancer, this movement is spreading nationwide by seeking a second opinion from a doctor other than your attending physician about diagnosis and treatment.
In the United States, this idea is deeply rooted among the public, and it is common sense to ask doctors whether they will seek a second opinion during consultations. However, in Japan, concerns such as hesitation toward doctors or concerns such as "If I say something like that, will it hurt the doctor's feelings and make it awkward? Would it be rude?" are often the first to be difficult to bring up.
However, considering that ultimately it is the patient and their family who decide the treatment for the disease, seeking a second opinion other than the primary physician broadens treatment options and selects the better treatment from among them, which is a natural right for the patient.
Especially for serious diseases involving cancer or blood vessels, treatment methods are advancing rapidly, so it is important to widely consult specialists.
Recently, more medical institutions, especially large hospitals like university hospitals, have been establishing new "Second Opinion Outpatient Clinics," but the applicable departments and fees vary by hospital. However, what they have in common is that all hospitals require advance reservations and a referral letter (medical information provision) from their primary doctor.
Fees vary by hospital, ranging from several thousand yen for 30 minutes to tens of thousands of yen.
Regarding second opinions, not only medical institutions but also many organizations promote them, and there is a wealth of information available online.
Considering the fundamental principle of medicine that medicine should be patient-centered, I hope second opinions become more established.

22nd Detox
The "detox" (detox) that has been a hot topic in health magazines and programs.
Generally, it seems to be used in the sense of "eliminating toxins and harmful substances (such as mercury and lead) from the body to benefit beauty and health."
Methods include supplements like dietary fiber, using bedrock baths or far-infrared saunas, and even fasting, which some people may have experienced.
In medical detoxification, there is "chelation therapy," which is carried out in cases of drug or toxin poisoning, and in integrative medicine, it is sometimes used for the treatment of cardiovascular diseases.
The origin of the word "chelation" is chela (chela = claws of shrimp or crab).
As the name suggests, it means "grasping and removing harmful substances."
However, the effectiveness for cardiovascular diseases is still debated, and according to a recent joint study by Canada and the UK reported last month, chelation therapy using the detoxifying agent "EDTA" is "not supported for therapeutic effects on cardiovascular disease based on currently available data."
This is the result of reanalyzing seven trials conducted so far.
Regarding chelation therapy, the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) has also been conducting clinical trials over five years, and future research progress is awaited.

We received advice on cold and influenza prevention from Dr. Yuzo Endo. In addition to keeping your neck warm with a scarf on a daily basis, it is also effective to keep the inside of your mouth warm with a mask. Viruses prefer around 35°C the most.
It is also good to add green tea or other antiseptic drinks.
