2009年4月24~25日，我们的本地子公司DHD USA参加了在美国佛罗里达州奥兰多举办的“第17届世界抗衰老医学年度大会”。
该会议由美国抗衰老医学学会（A4M）主办，主要面向医生，吸引了300多家公司参加。
今年，佛罗里达盖洛德棕榈酒店作为举办地，再次吸引了众多参与者，包括来自美国国内外的医生和研究人员。
我们公司在美国展出了旗舰产品BRM4（250mg、500mg）和Plasmanex1，并与它们一同做了演讲。
Raif Tawakol博士在其文章《糖尿病：葡萄糖战争在凝血与免疫的战场上胜负可能胜负》中解释了代谢综合征与血液凝固之间的关系，以及对策。
Shari Lieberman博士发表了题为《RBAC（BRM4）背后的科学》的讲座。他总结了Bioblanc（RBAC）相关论文。

摘自今年的美国癌症协会
国际癌症治疗会议——美国临床肿瘤学会（ASCO）于五月底至六月初在美国奥兰多举行。虽然讨论主要聚焦于新抗癌药物，但关于补充与替代医学（CAM）的演讲也已开始，反映出近年来对补充与替代医学（CAM）日益增长的兴趣（参见e-Kenken Kawara版第47卷）。
这次引起关注的是一项针对癌症专科医院医生、药剂师和营养师的调查。在671名受访者中，83%认为“补充与替代医学在癌症护理中起作用”。具体来说，按摩、冥想与祈祷、放松和针灸有助于缓解传统治疗无法控制的症状。

こんにちは、メールマガジン担当の石原です。
先日、「予防医学者の健康情報」を連載いただいている川上智史先生に食中毒についてお話を伺う機会がありました。現在の日本社会では、生活環境が衛生的になり食中毒などあまり関係無いように思われがちですが、平均発生件数は過去20年それほど変化が無いとのことでした。
特に梅雨時期には細菌が繁殖しやすい環境になるそうです。
しっかりと予防していくために細菌を「つけない」「増やさない」「殺菌する」の三原則に注意したいと思います。
さて、今回のホームページ上では、遠藤雄三先生の健康戦略シリーズ第二弾「からだの防御システム」をお読みいただけます。

2009年4月24日～25日、アメリカ・フロリダ州オーランドで開催された「17thAnnual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine」に、当社現地法人のDHD USA社が参加しました。
American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine（A４M）の主催で開催されたこの会議は、主として医師を対象にしたもので、300社を超える企業が参加。
会場となったGaylord Palms Hotels Florida には、今年もアメリカ国内外から医師や研究者など多くの参加者がありました。
当社では、米国における主力製品、「BRM4」（250mg、500mg）と「Plasmanex１」を出展し、併せてプレゼンテーションを実施しました。
Raif Tawakol 博士は、「Diabetes：Glucose wars can be won and lost on the battlegrounds of coagulation and immunity」と題して、メタボリックシンドロームと血液凝固の関係及びその対策法について解説しました。
Shari Lieberman 博士は、「The Science behind RBAC(BRM4)」のタイトルで講演。バイオブラン（RBAC）に関する論文のまとめを述べました。
今回のプレゼンテーションについては、入場者が多いばかりか、熱心な質問が殺到し、関心の高さをうかがわせました。
当社としては、両商品について医療関係者の間で高く評価されていると再確認し、今後は今まで以上に確かなエビデンスを持った安心・安全の商品を届けていきたいと考えています。
■統合医療新着情報【41】
今年の米国がん学会から
がん治療の国際的な学会「米国臨床腫瘍学会（ASCO）」が5月末から6月初頭にかけて、米国オーランドで開かれました。ここでの議論は新しい抗がん剤の話題が中心ですが、近年の補完代替医療（CAM）に対する関心の高まりを反映するように、CAMの発表も見られるようになりました（e-健康かわら版Vol.47参照）。
今回目を引いたのは、がん専門病院で働く医師、薬剤師、栄養士らの意識調査です。回答した671名のうち83％が「CAMは癌のケアの中で役割がある」と考えていました。具体的には、通常の治療ではコントロールできない症状を助けるのに、マッサージや瞑想・祈り、リラクゼーション、鍼が役立つとしました。
一方、回答した医療従事者は「患者さんの中でCAMを利用しているのは28％」と推定。しかし、過去の調査には「50％超が利用」との結果もあるため、研究チームは医療者がCAMに関心を持ち、患者と話し合うことの必要性を説きました。日本でも同様のことが言えます。
また今回の学会では、がん患者の8割でビタミンDが不足・欠乏していることや、血液中のビタミンD濃度が低いがん患者へのビタミンDサプリメント補給で、その不足が解消されることが報告されました。
がん患者に対するビタミンD補給がどのような効果を及ぼすか、さらなる検討が待たれます。

On April 24~25, 2009, our local subsidiary, DHD USA, participated in the "17th Annual World Congress on Anti-Aging Medicine" held in Orlando, Florida, USA.
Hosted by the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M), this conference was primarily aimed at physicians and attracted over 300 companies.
This year, Gaylord Palms Hotels Florida, which was the venue, once again attracted many participants, including doctors and researchers from both inside and outside the United States.
Our company exhibited our flagship products in the United States, BRM4 (250mg, 500mg) and Plasmanex1, and gave presentations alongside them.
Dr. Raif Tawakol explained the relationship between metabolic syndrome and blood clotting in his article "Diabetes: Glucose wars can be won and lost on the battlegrounds of coagulation and immunity," as well as countermeasures.
Dr. Shari Lieberman gave a lecture titled "The Science behind RBAC (BRM4)." He presented a summary of papers on Bioblanc (RBAC).
This presentation not only attracted many attendees but also received a flood of enthusiastic questions, showing the high level of interest.

■ Latest Information on Integrated Medicine [41]
From this year's American Cancer Society
The international cancer treatment conference, the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), was held in Orlando, USA, from late May to early June. While the discussions here focused mainly on new anticancer drugs, presentations on CAM have also begun to be observed, reflecting the recent growing interest in complementary and alternative medicine (CAM) (see e-Kenken Kawara Edition Vol.47).
What caught the eye this time was a survey of doctors, pharmacists, and nutritionists working at cancer specialty hospitals. Of the 671 respondents, 83% believed that "CAM plays a role in cancer care." Specifically, massage, meditation and prayer, relaxation, and acupuncture are helpful in helping symptoms that cannot be controlled by conventional treatment.
On the other hand, the healthcare professionals who responded estimated that "28% of patients use CAM." However, since previous surveys have shown that "over 50% use CAM," the research team emphasized the importance of healthcare professionals taking an interest in CAM and discussing it with patients. The same can be said in Japan.
At this conference, it was reported that 80% of cancer patients are deficient or deficient in vitamin D, and that supplementing with vitamin D supplements for cancer patients with low blood vitamin D levels can eliminate these deficiencies.
Further examination is needed to determine the effects of vitamin D supplementation for cancer patients.
