NKCPはナットウ菌から精製した大和薬品独自の酵素を応用した素材で、2000年の発売開始以来、様々な医院や薬局・薬店などでお取扱いいただいております。
すでに同素材は日本・ＥＵ諸国・台湾・中国などで特許を取得していますが、今回日本国内にて新たに「糖尿病治療薬（特許第4309108号)」が追加されました。

■統合医療新着情報【46】ワクチンでがん予防の時代
インフルエンザ関連で何かと話題のワクチン（予防接種）。ある微生物に対して免疫を獲得させる方法として、改めて価値が認識されるようになりました。そしてワクチンは、今やがんの予防にも応用されようとしています。
若い女性に増えている「子宮頸（けい）がん」を予防するワクチンが間もなく発売される予定です。がん予防とワクチン。一見、関係がなさそうですが、実は両者を結びつける事項があるのです。
それは、子宮頸がんの主原因が微生物（ヒトパピローマウイルス＝HPV）だということ。HPVはほとんどの女性に感染の機会がある、ありふれたウイルスです。細胞がこのウイルスに感染すると、通常は免疫機構によって排除されますが、感染者のおよそ1,000人に1人はがんになると言われています。数年から数十年をかけてがんへと進行していきます。
そこで、HPVに対して事前にワクチンで免疫をつけておけば、感染することがなく、がんに罹らないという仕組みです。
このワクチンは1人につき期間を空けて3回注射します。ウイルスに感染する前に免疫をつけるのが目的なので、なるべく低年齢のうちに接種を終えるのがよいとされます。注射したところに痛み、発赤、腫れなどが出ることがあります。
もちろん、予防ワクチンが登場したからといって、がん検診の必要性や免疫力を高める生活習慣の重要性は変わりません。

さて、今回のキャベツですが、その特徴はなんといってもビタミンＵです。ビタミンＵは別名キャベジンとも呼ばれ、興和さんの同名の商品でも有名ですね。キャベジンはキャベツの搾り汁に含まれ、1940年に発見されました。胃の粘膜のただれを治して抵抗力を強める作用があり、胃潰瘍の予防などに役立ちます。
しかし、キャベジンは熱に弱く、水にも解けやすいという特徴がありますので炒めたり、千切りしたりする場合は手際よく調理されるのをお勧めします。年末の疲れた胃腸にちょっといい話でした。
