2009年1月26~29日，“阿拉伯健康2009”在迪拜国际展览中心举办，我们公司也进行了展览。
该展会每年举办一次，是中东地区规模最大的展会，此次有来自约60个国家的2000多家公司参展，主要集中在中东地区，涵盖制药、医疗器械、健康食品等领域。参展人数也超过5万，来自中东、亚洲、欧洲和非洲。
参与者包括医疗专业人士、研究人员、医疗和健康产品的经销商和分销商，由于健康食品相关公司的参与有限，我们的展位始终热闹非凡，接纳了大量热情的问题和咨询。
这次我们展出了四款产品：Lentin Plus 1000（Bio Blanc）、NKCP、Kefira和Epograin霜。Bio Bran已成为全球46个国家销售的品牌，随后的第二和第三款产品也在稳步增长。
大和制药在海外市场持续取得卓越销售成绩，我们将继续制定详细战略，并在具备潜力的地区启动活动。

[37] 儿童疾病的补充与替代医学
“补充与替代医学应如何应用于慢性难治儿科疾病？”“医生在治疗儿童时应持何种态度看待补充与替代医学？”
为了应对这些挑战，美国儿科学会（AAP）在去年12月汇总了关于补充与替代医学的报告。
多项调查显示，超过一半患有慢性、复发或难治疾病的儿童使用CAM治疗。此外，据报道，三分之二的受影响儿童家长未告知主治医生他们正在使用CAM治疗。
另一方面，越来越多的儿科医生正在将补充与替代医学纳入其实践并就其使用提供建议。鉴于这种情况，学术界感到有必要提供关于补充与替代医学的信息并支持儿科医生。
报告要求儿科医生就主流医学和补充与替代医学的安全性与有效性向儿童及其家庭提供建议和咨询，并寻求治疗选择的信息。

◎アラブ首長国連邦の「Arab Health 2009」に出展
2009年1月26日～29日、アラブ首長国連邦・ドバイDubai International Exhibition Centreで「Arab Health 2009」が開催され、当社も出展しました。
この展示会は、毎年１回この時期に中東最大の規模でドバイで開催されるもので、今回も、中東地域を中心とした約60カ国から医薬品、医療機器、健康食品などの2000を超える企業が出展。参加者も、中東をはじめ、アジア、ヨーロッパ、アフリカから、延べ5万人を超える数となりました。
参加者は、医療関係者、研究者、医療健康関連商品のディーラー、ディストリビューターなどで、健康食品関連企業の出展が少なかったこともあり、当社のブースは終始賑わい、熱心な質問、問い合わせが殺到しました。
今回は、レンチンプラス1000（バイオブラン）、ＮＫＣＰ、ケフィーラ、エポグランクリームの4商品を出展しました。バイオブランについては、すでに世界46カ国で販売される世界ブランドになりましたが、これに継ぐ第2第3の商品も着実に伸びています。
大和薬品では、海外市場で飛躍的な販売実績を続けていますが、今後も可能性の高い地域については綿密な戦略を構築してキャンペーンを展開していきます。
■統合医療新着情報
【37】子どもの病気の補完代替医療
「慢性、難治性の子どもの病気に、どのようにCAMを利用するか」「子どもを診る医師はCAMに対してどのような姿勢をとればよいのか」――。
こうした課題に答えるべく、米国小児科学会（AAP）が昨年12月、CAMに関するこれまでの知見を報告書にまとめました。
各種の調査で、慢性、再発性、難治性の病気に罹っている子どもの半数以上がCAMを利用していることが明らかになっています。そして、患児の親の3人に2人は、CAMを利用していることを担当医に告げていないとされています。
一方で、CAMを診療に取り入れたり、利用をアドバイスする小児科医が増えているのも事実。こうした状況から、学会としてもCAMに関する情報を提供し、小児科医をサポートする必要性を感じたとしています。
報告書では小児を診療する医師に対し、主流の医学、CAMを問わず▽安全性や効果などについて患児と家族にアドバイス、カウンセリングすること▽治療の選択肢についての情報を探求すること――を求めています。
なお、サプリメントや機能性食品に関しては、炎症性腸疾患に対するプロバイオティクスのように「90年代半ばはCAMであったが、21世紀は主流の医学になった」例などが紹介されています。

From January 26 to 29, 2009, "Arab Health 2009" was held at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre in the United Arab Emirates, and our company also exhibited.
This exhibition is held annually at this time in Dubai as the largest in the Middle East. This time as well, over 2,000 companies from about 60 countries, mainly in the Middle East, exhibited pharmaceuticals, medical devices, health foods, and other products. More than 50,000 participants attended from the Middle East, Asia, Europe, and Africa.
Participants included healthcare professionals, researchers, dealers, and distributors of medical and health-related products. Since few health food-related companies exhibited, our booth was crowded throughout, receiving enthusiastic questions and inquiries.
This time, we exhibited four products: Lentin Plus 1000 (BioBran), NKCP, Kefira, and Epogran Cream. BioBran has already become a world brand sold in 46 countries, and the second and third products are also steadily growing.
Yamato Pharmaceutical continues to achieve remarkable sales overseas, and will continue to develop careful strategies and campaigns in regions with high potential.
■New Integrated Medical Information
[37] Complementary and Alternative Medicine for Children's Illnesses
"How to use CAM for chronic, intractable childhood illnesses" and "What attitude should pediatricians have toward CAM" ――.
To address such issues, the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) summarized previous knowledge about CAM in a report last December.
Various surveys revealed that more than half of children with chronic, recurrent, and intractable illnesses use CAM. Additionally, two out of three parents do not inform the attending physician about their use of CAM.
On the other hand, it is also true that more pediatricians are incorporating or advising CAM in medical practice. In such situations, the academy felt it necessary to provide information on CAM to support pediatricians.
The report asks pediatricians, whether practicing mainstream medicine or CAM, to advise and counsel patients and families about safety and effectiveness, and to seek information about treatment options.
Regarding supplements and functional foods, examples such as probiotics for inflammatory bowel disease are cited as cases where "what was CAM in the mid-1990s has become mainstream medicine in the 21st century."
