三个场馆的总参会人数达到1300人，活动反响热烈。

据日本抗衰老医学会事务局长米井嘉一医生介绍，抗衰老医学是将“衰老过程本身视为一种‘疾病’，与其他疾病一样，通过克服其原因来治疗衰老”的医学。
然而，这种治疗方法并不意味着“不老不死”。
它是一门旨在防止因衰老导致的身心衰退，并在健康状态下度过一生、追求健康长寿的医学。」
作为生物体的人类，其寿命大约为120岁，但现实情况是，大多数人在大约五六十岁之后，从生活习惯病等多种疾病中受到困扰。
或者，即使是健康的人，也可能出现“积极性下降”“皮肤光泽、弹性消失”“性欲减退”等迹象，生活质量（QOL）逐渐下降。
在抗衰老医学中，不仅是预防疾病，同时也积极应对那些通常被认为是“年纪大了没办法”的衰老迹象。
那么，如何才能实现“健康长寿”呢？

弊社では、かねて申請中であった「ピオテアドリンク粉末タイプ」について、このたび厚生労働省より特定保健用食品の表示を許可されました。同社では、すでに「ピオテアドリンク」と「ピオテア粉末ほうじ茶」で特定保健用食品の表示許可を得ていますので、特保商品は今回で３つ目となりますが、とくに今回の粉末タイプについては従来以上に積極的にOEMに対応していきたいとしています。
◎「食のコミュニケーション会議」のイベントに参加――― 大和薬品（株）
弊社は、７月１２日（土）に東京・世田谷で開催された「食のコミュニケーション会議（通称：食コミ）に参加。主力商品であるナットウ菌培養物「エヌケイシーピー」を出展しました。
◎「がんフォーラム２１」を東京・大阪・福岡で開催。―――日本食品機能研究会（ＪＡＦＲＡ）
弊社の所属する日本食品機能研究会（ＪＡＦＲＡ）では、7月27日～29日の3日間、東京、大阪、福岡で「がんフォーラム２１」を開催しました。今回の「がんフォーラム２１」は、「統合医療によるがん治療――いのちといやしの現場から」をサブタイトルに、免疫学の世界的権威であるＵＣＬＡ／ＤＲＥＷ医科大学の免疫学教授 Ｍ・ゴーナム博士と、カナダ マクマスター大学（健康科学部病理・分子医学部門）客員教授遠藤雄三博士が最新の発表を行いました。
参加者は、三会場合わせて１３００人にものぼり、好評を博しました。

（３）米ぬかアラビノキシラン誘導体について
Q：「商品パッケージ等に商品説明を詳しく記載して欲しいのですが。」
A：米ぬかアラビノキシラン誘導体は食品に該当いたしますので、医薬品のように効果・効能を化粧箱やラベルに記載した場合、 薬事法や景表法などに抵触してしまうため、現在の記載内容に留まっております。
しかしながら米ぬかアラビノキシラン誘導体は国内外の大学との共同研究によりエビデンスが 10年以上蓄積された安全な素材ですので、これからも安心して御利用いただければ幸いです。
Q：「この頃アラビノキシラン含有商品を良く見かけますが アラビノキシランとアラビノキシラン誘導体とはどう異なるのですか？」
A：”アラビノキシラン”自体は米だけでなくトウモロコシ等植物に多く含まれる一般的な食物繊維です。これに対し弊社の”アラビノキシラン誘導体”は 米ぬかから熱水抽出して得られたアラビノキシランに、さらに シイタケから得られる酵素を用いることにより吸収を高めたオリジナル の素材です。

第1回 「健康長寿」を目指そう
アンチエイジングと聞いて何を連想しますか。永遠に寿命が延びる？
それとも、20歳の自分にリセットできる？
初めて聞いたという人もいるかも知れませんね。アンチエイジングは、ここ数年日本でも急速に注目を集めてきた医学の分野で、日本語では「抗加齢（医学）」と訳されます。
日本抗加齢医学会の事務局長である米井嘉一医師によると、抗加齢医学とは「老化のプロセスそのものをひとつの『病気』と捉え、他の病気同様、その原因を克服することで老化を治療することを目的としています。
しかし、その治療法は『不老不死』を意味するものではありません。
老化による心身の衰えを防ぎ、健康なままで人生を全うするための、健康長寿を目指す医学です」と説明されています。
生物としてのヒトの寿命はおよそ120歳と言われていますが、多くのはその半分くらい、つまり50～60歳を過ぎた頃から生活習慣病をはじめとするさまざまな病気に悩まされているのが現状です。
あるいは、健康な方でも「意欲が低下した」「皮膚のつや、はりがなくなった」「性的ときめきが低下した」といった兆しが出てきて、ＱＯＬ（生活の質）が下がっていくのではないでしょうか。
抗加齢医学では、病気を予防するのはもちろん、「トシだから仕方がない」と片付けられていた兆候にも、積極的に対応していこうとしているのです。
では、どうしたら「健康長寿」が実現できるか。
次回からその具体的な方法をご紹介しましょう。

Our company has recently received permission from the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare to label the "Piotea Drink Powder Type," which had been under application. The company has already obtained approval for labeling "Piotea Drink Powder" and "Piotea Powder Hojicha" as Specified Health Foods, so this is the third specially protected product. In particular, we intend to respond more proactively to OEM services for this powder type than before.
◎ Participated in the 'Food Communication Conference' event — Daiwa Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd.
Our company participated in the "Food Communication Conference" (commonly known as Shokkomi) held in Setagaya, Tokyo, on Saturday, July 12. We exhibited our flagship product, the Nut strain culture product "NKCP."
◎ Held 'Cancer Forum 21' in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka. ―――Japanese Society for the Study of Food Function (JAFRA)
The Japan Society for the Study of Functional Food (JAFRA), to which our company belongs, held the "Cancer Forum 21" over three days from July 27~29 in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka. This year's "Cancer Forum 21" was subtitled "Cancer Treatment through Integrative Medicine—From the Frontlines of Life and Healing," with the latest presentations by Dr. M. Gornam, Professor of Immunology at UCLA/DREW School of Medicine, a world-renowned authority in immunology, and Dr. Yuzo Endo, Visiting Professor at McMaster University in Canada, Department of Pathology and Molecular Medicine.

(3) About rice bran arabinoxylane derivatives
Q: "I would like a detailed product description on the product packaging or other materials."
A: Rice bran arabinoxylane derivatives are classified as food products, so if the effects or efficacy are listed on the box or label like pharmaceuticals, it would violate laws such as the Pharmaceutical Affairs Law or the Misleading Representations Act, so the current content is limited.
However, rice bran arabinoxylane derivative is a safe material with over 10 years of evidence accumulated through joint research with universities both in Japan and abroad, so we hope you will continue to use it with confidence.
Q: "These days, you often see products containing arabinoxylan. How is it different from arabinoxylane and arabinoxylane derivatives?"
A: "Arabinoxylan" itself is a common dietary fiber found not only in rice but also in plants such as corn. In contrast, our "Arabinoxylane Derivative" is an original material that enhances absorption by using enzymes obtained from shiitake mushrooms to extract arabinoxylan from rice bran with hot water.

Part 1: Aiming for 'Healthy Longevity'
What comes to mind when you hear 'anti-aging'? Does it extend your lifespan forever?
Or can you reset to your 20-year-old self?
Some people may be hearing about it for the first time. Anti-aging is a field of medicine that has rapidly gained attention in Japan in recent years, and in Japanese, it is translated as "anti-aging (medical medicine)."
According to Dr. Yoshikazu Komei, the Secretary General of the Japanese Society of Anti-Aging Medicine, anti-aging medicine is defined as "treating the process of aging itself as a 'disease' and aiming to address its causes in order to treat aging, just as with other diseases.
However, the treatment does not mean 'immortality.'
It is a branch of medicine aimed at healthy longevity that seeks to prevent the physical and mental decline caused by aging and to live a full life in good health."
Although the lifespan of humans as a species is said to be roughly 120 years, the reality is that many people suffer from various diseases, including lifestyle-related illnesses, around their 50s to 60s, which is about half of that span.
Even healthy individuals may start to notice signs such as a decline in motivation, loss of skin luster and firmness, or reduced sexual excitement, which can lead to a decrease in quality of life (QOL).
In anti-aging medicine, of course, there is a focus on disease prevention, but there is also a proactive approach toward signs that were previously dismissed as 'just because of aging.'
So, how can one achieve 'healthy longevity'?
From next time, we will introduce specific methods to achieve this.
