日本旅行医学会第五届年会于4月14日和15日在东京国立奥林匹克纪念青年中心举行，期间“NKCP”作为受邀海外讲座被重点介绍。
本次会议主题为“自然灾害与事故的旅行医学”，展示了大量与旅行和医学相关的论文和临床数据，但最长的一场海外邀请讲座仅持续一小时，吸引了与会者的广泛关注。
英国航空健康协会的法罗尔·汗博士总结道：“英国航空健康协会建议通过压缩袜和天然营养素如阿司匹林或NKCP，双重预防深静脉血栓（DVT）。”
“NKCP”是一种第二代纳豆激酶，含有β-肽F，近年来因其替代传统甲状腺苷下蛋白酶而受到关注。它作为一种新型功能性食品，能够降低血栓风险，正受到关注。

你听说过一种叫叶酸的营养素吗？
它是B族维生素之一，富含于菠菜等绿色和黄色蔬菜中。它对保护孕妇和胎儿健康尤为重要，厚生劳动部甚至鼓励计划怀孕的女性服用补充剂，称整体可降低发生神经管缺陷（先天胎儿异常）的风险。
然而，根据横滨市大学及《日经》其他机构的一项研究，只有13.5%的女性按照这些建议服用叶酸补充剂，这意味着超过90%的孕妇叶酸缺乏。
文章表达了对其可能导致胎儿先天异常的担忧。
那么，除了孕妇之外，叶酸补充剂对其他人群有哪些好处呢？

第５回日本旅行医学会大会が４月１４・１５日の二日間、国立オリンピック記念青少年総合センター(東京）で開催され、「ＮＫＣＰ」が海外招待講演で大きくとりあげられました。
「自然災害・アクシデントの旅行医学」をテーマに開催されたこの大会では、旅行と医学に関する数多くの論文や臨床データが発表されましたが、なかでも１時間という最長時間にわたって行われた海外招待講演が参加者の関心を集めました。
英国航空健康協会のファロル・カーン博士は「英国航空健康協会では、加圧ストッキングとアスピリンあるいはＮＫＣＰなどの天然栄養剤でＤＶＴ（深部静脈血栓症）を二重に予防することを推奨している」と結論づけました。
「ＮＫＣＰ」は、第二世代のナットウキナーゼと呼ばれ、従来のサブチリジンプロテアーゼに代わっていま新たに注目されているバチロペプチダーゼＦを含有。血栓症リスクを低減する新しい機能性食品として注目されています。
◎バイオブランのエビデンス集大成が刊行されました。
当社の主力製品であるバイオブランについて内外のエビデンスを集大成した論文集「ＢｉｏＢｒａｎ／ＭＧＮ―３ 基礎と代替・補完医療への応用」（監修：富山医科薬科大学 田澤賢次名誉教授）が医薬出版から刊行されました（税込み５，２５０円）。
論文集は６月以降に丸善などの医学書コーナーにて販売される予定です。
バイオブランについては、開発・販売から１０年以上が経過し、日本をはじめアメリカ、ＥＵなど世界９カ国で製法特許を取得するなど、世界ブランドとしての地位も確立。世界３０カ国に販売実績があります。

【５】国が勧めるサプリメント
葉酸（ようさん）という栄養素を聞いたことはありますか。
ビタミンB群の一つで、文字通りホウレンソウなど緑黄色野菜に多く含まれています。特に妊婦と胎児の健康を守るために必要な栄養素で、厚生労働省が「（胎児の先天異常である）神経管閉鎖障害の発症リスクが集団としてみた場合に低減することができる」と、妊娠を計画している女性にサプリメントの摂取を呼びかけるほどです。
しかし、日本経済新聞が報じた横浜市大などの研究によると、こうした勧告に従って葉酸サプリメントを摂取しているのは13.5％に過ぎず、妊婦の9割強で葉酸が不足しているとか。
記事は「胎児の先天異常を招く恐れも」と危惧しています。
では、妊婦以外の人での葉酸サプリメントのメリットはどうでしょうか。
葉酸を含むビタミンBは、心臓血管病の危険因子と見られる体内物質・ホモシステインの濃度を下げてくれるため、生活習慣病の予防に役立つと期待されています。ただ、まだ説が定まらず、例えば3月に海外で発表された2つの大規模試験では、心臓血管病の人に葉酸と他のビタミンBのサプリメントを摂取してもらいましたが、再発予防につながっていません。一方、日本では、人工透析をやっている患者31名に葉酸サプリメントを摂取してもらい、血中のホモシステイン濃度が低下することは確認されました。
しばらくは議論が続くでしょう。

◎ At the Japan Society of Travel Medicine Conference, purified Nut bacteria culture 'NKCP' was featured.
The 5th Annual Meeting of the Japan Society of Travel Medicine was held over two days on April 14 and 15 at the National Olympic Memorial Youth Center (Tokyo), where "NKCP" was prominently featured as an invited overseas lecture.
At this conference, themed "Travel Medicine for Natural Disasters and Accidents," numerous papers and clinical data related to travel and medicine were presented, but the most long-lasting overseas invited lecture at just one hour attracted significant attention from participants.
Dr. Farol Khan of the British Aviation Health Association concluded, "The British Aviation Health Association recommends double prevention of DVT (deep vein thrombosis) with compression stockings and natural nutrients such as aspirin or NKCP."
"NKCP" is called a second-generation nattokinase, containing batyropeptide F, which has recently gained attention as a replacement for conventional subthyridine protease. It is gaining attention as a new functional food that reduces the risk of thrombosis.
◎ The comprehensive collection of evidence on Bio Bran has been published.
The collection of papers titled "BioBran/MGN-3: Fundamentals and Applications to Alternative and Complementary Medicine" (supervised by Professor Emeritus Kenji Tazawa, Toyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University) has been published by Iyaku Shuppan (5,250 yen including tax), compiling domestic and international evidence on our flagship product, BioBran.
The proceedings are scheduled to be sold at medical book sections such as Maruzen after June.

Have you ever heard of a nutrient called folic acid?
It is one of the B vitamins and is abundantly found in green and yellow vegetables such as spinach. It is especially essential for protecting the health of pregnant women and fetuses, and the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare even encourages women planning pregnancy to take supplements, stating that the risk of developing neural tube defects (a congenital fetal abnormality) can be reduced as a group.
However, according to a study by Yokohama City University and others reported by the Nikkei, only 13.5% of women take folic acid supplements according to these recommendations, meaning that over 90% of pregnant women are deficient in folic acid.
The article expresses concern that it could potentially lead to congenital abnormalities in the fetus.
So, what are the benefits of folic acid supplements for people other than pregnant women?
Vitamin B, which contains folic acid, is expected to help prevent lifestyle-related diseases by lowering the concentration of homocysteine, a substance in the body considered a risk factor for cardiovascular disease. However, the theory is still undecided. For example, in two large-scale overseas trials announced in March, people with cardiovascular disease took folic acid and other B vitamin supplements, but none led to recurrence prevention. Meanwhile, in Japan, 31 patients undergoing dialysis took folic acid supplements and confirmed that blood homocysteine levels decreased.
The debate will continue for a while.
