胰管扩张是胰腺癌的警示信号
胰腺癌因在进展到致命前症状不明显，故被称为“沉默杀手”。近日一项新研究显示，在高风险但无症状的患者中，连接胰腺与胆管的胰管扩张是增加癌症进展风险的独立危险因素。美国约翰霍普金斯大学医学与肿瘤学教授Marcia Irene Canto等人的研究成果于9月12日发表在《Gastro Hep Advances》上。Canto在新闻稿中表示：“如果这一发现能帮助早期发现癌症，可能有助于提高生存率。”

膵管拡張は膵臓がんの警告サイン
膵臓がんは、進行して致命的となるまで症状が現れにくいことから「サイレントキラー」とも呼ばれます。こうした中、新たな研究で、膵臓がんリスクの高い無症状患者では、膵臓と胆管をつなぐ膵管の拡張が、がんの進行リスクを高める独立したリスク因子であることが示されました。米ジョンズ・ホプキンス大学医学部医学・腫瘍学教授のMarcia Irene Canto氏らによるこの研究結果は、「Gastro Hep Advances」に9月12日に掲載されました。Canto氏は、「この知見によりがんが早期発見されれば、生存率の向上につながる可能性がある」とニュースリリースの中で述べています。

A new series is starting from this issue. Dr. Yuzo Endo of the Tokyo Brain and Nerve Center will discuss under the title "Impressions on the International Classification of Primary Headaches: 'Seeing the Trees but Not the Forest' – Understanding the Causes of Primary Headaches."
In the previous 12-part series, Dr. Endo explained the relationship between the root causes of headaches and posture. In this new series, he will further delve into this headache theory, providing a proper understanding and resolution methods for primary headaches that have been considered of unknown origin.

Pancreatic Duct Dilation is a Warning Sign of Pancreatic Cancer
Pancreatic cancer is sometimes called a "silent killer" because symptoms are often difficult to detect until the disease is advanced and fatal. In this context, new research has shown that for asymptomatic patients at high risk of pancreatic cancer, dilation of the pancreatic duct connecting the pancreas and bile duct is an independent risk factor that increases the risk of cancer progression. This research, conducted by Marcia Irene Canto, Professor of Medicine and Oncology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, was published in "Gastro Hep Advances" on September 12. Dr. Canto stated in a news release, "This finding could lead to earlier cancer detection and potentially improved survival rates."
